We went on a 10-day trip this Summer which was half in NC and half in Orlando. Here's the NC part! We played with cousins all over town, we got rained out of a Bulls game, and wrecked havoc on Grandma and Popop's house. Perfect!
Never a Dull Moment!

Amelia Island 2013
We ventured to Amelia Island for a weekend in June to cheer JT on at a triathlon while enjoying a beach weekend. It made for a busy June, but was definitely worth it. The kids enjoyed a 'busier' beach than our usual St George, and we are good at supporting JT!

Charlotte's 3rd Birthday!
Charlotte's third birthday party was a lot to pull together after getting back from the beach, but we did it! Grandma and Popop came to town to celebrate, and they did so much more than that. We hosted a fun group of kids for a party of crown decorating, castle bouncing, and sword fighting! We think we made happy and tired princesses and knights!
The crown decorating table - kid height.
The clothesline of inflatable swords and tutus.

The princess cake! Made by Grandma! On her first try! It was awesome!

St. George 2013
We were lucky enough to spend a full week at St George this year. We filled a house to the brim with dear college friends and their two children, and we had a fantastic time! Our house had a small pool in the backyard. The community pool was just a block away to the right, and the beach was a block straight ahead. Perfect!

T-Ball Life
Jay played his second season of t-ball this spring and had a wonderful time. He rally seems genuinely interested in baseball and positions and practice. Good signs! He had the same coach as last year, who is great, so that also helped create a positive experience.
Charlotte and I got into a regular pattern of coring activities on the sidelines. Charlotte was happy, and we quickly attracted a good group of other little sisters who shared crayons, coloring books, and snacks!
Cheese follow up
Someone very smart suggested I bring some closure to our cheese party, so hear it is! In late May we got the cheese we made in February. We each made a 5-6 lb wheel of Thomasville Tomme. We don't need that much cheese, so we had one wheel shipped to some fellow cheese-lovers in NC. Hope they enjoy their wheel as much as we are enjoying ours!

Who loves cheese?!
One of my Christmas gifts this year was a date with JT to the cheese making class at Sweet Grass Dairy. We are BIG fans of SGD as cheesemakers, beer/wine sellers, local business owners, and a fellow preschool family. We were excited to go behind-the-scenes for a day that would conclude with a wine and cheese tasting, as well as a wheel of cheese shipped to our door in a few months! I think the photos tell the story best, and since I can't caption each one, they'll have to suffice!
